Past Projects
Kidzfest
It all started with Kidzfest as a personal mission for my husband Steve and me to honor our son Stephen Michael Hurly, who passed away from heart disease and complications of premature birth at the age of five weeks in 2003. Stephen was a beautiful baby and so full of life. In his short time here he taught us the meaning of hope and love.

Together with the Board of Help Women and Children Now (HWCN), and our friends, family and neighbors, we raise funds in an effort to cure pediatric heart disease and premature births. During our baby’s short life we were filled with hope for his future. Hope is what got us through the darkest days of our lives. We hope our donations to this important research can help save children's lives in the future, and prevent families from going through the pain we endure daily.

Our Stephen did not have the future we planned, but through our efforts he lives on and his hope and love continues – please join in this wonderful cause.

Kidzfest was an annual family festival featuring face painting, carnival games, pony rides, music, crafts and much, much more, all with the goal of raising money and awareness for issues relating to pediatric heart disease and premature birth.
